About Me

living barefoot and wide open. // ask me about Jesus. // there’s a million things I haven’t done, but just you wait. // hardworking creative.

Hailey Hudson is a 19-year-old homeschool grad from the mountains of North Georgia. She’s an author (you can buy her debut middle grade book here), a full-time freelance writer (she writes about fitness, nutrition, and education–view her portfolio here), and the site coordinator for a local nonprofit that tutors refugee kids. Hailey’s health problems ended her dreams of college softball, but she still loves both coaching (she’s the head coach for an 8U rec ball team) and working out. She also is passionate about theater, music, dance, learning Spanish and ASL, and anything creative (and because of this, she recently founded The Hardworking Creative).

With two and a half years of college classes under her belt, Hailey is now focusing on her writing career full-time and aiming to double her income to move out in 2019. Her future plans are to become an established YA author, expand her freelance writing and voiceover client base as much as possible, and to start a nonprofit that offers underprivileged kids the opportunity to play sports at a lower cost and to hear about Jesus.

  1. This is a lovely blog, Hailey! I had to comment when I found out you had self-published with Lulu. I have as well! It’s so fun to meet other young authors who love the Lord. Keep up the good work! – Anita

Hi Hailey! I just came across your blog and am so excited to be your newest follower!
P.S. I appreciate the fact that you included your house, Ravenclaw, in your bio. I’m a Hufflepuff, Gryffindor wannabe. 🙂

  5. Hi Hailey!
I just found your blog. It looks really awesome! It’s always great to find another Christian teen writer blog! When I read the part about loving traveling but being a homebody I was thinking Yes! Finally someone who is the same! Lol anyway I can’t wait to read more of your blog!
    God Bless,

    1. Also it’s really cool that you speak Spanish! My family is from Cuba and Spain. I know a bit of Spanish but I don’t get to practice to much because we’re always moving around and I don’t get to see my extended family too much.
      Dios bendiga!

      1. Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by–I checked out your blog too, and really liked it! =) That’s so cool–I can speak and read Spanish pretty well, but I don’t have anybody to practice with, so I don’t really understand it at all 😉

  6. Nice to meet you, Miss Hailey! So excited to find your blog through the comment you left on mine (I love it when that happens!)! It’s such a blessing to find a fellow blogger who is so passionate about sharing Jesus with others! And I can totally relate to the love of travel/homebody thing and the dual enrollment thing 😉 Can’t wait to read more!

    In Christ,
    Izzy ❤
